Standalone Partial Discharge Detector
A partial discharge detector that provides acceptance tests and PD measurements according to IEC 60270
The ICMcompact is Power Diagnostix’s standalone partial discharge detector. This digital instrument has been designed for the condition evaluation of medium and high voltage (MV and HV) insulation and is typically used for quality assurance and quality control, including factory acceptance tests (FAT), end-of-line testing, and post repair. It is also suitable for field use.
The ICMcompact is primarily intended for the following assets:
- Factory acceptance tests for MV and HV assets
- Distribution transformers
- Instrument transformers (voltage transformers and current transformers)
- MV and HV cables
- Electronic components (e.g., insulated-gate bipolar transistors)

The ICMsystem is a powerful, versatile instrument for evaluating the condition of medium and high voltage insulation.
The ICMsystem is part of the Power Diagnostix ICMseries of digital partial discharge detectors. It is usable over a range of frequencies of applied voltage, including power system frequency (50/60 Hz) and VLF (0.1 Hz).
Partial discharge (PD) measurements are a proven method for effective, nondestructive evaluation of electrical insulation. The Power Diagnostix ICMsystem provides high-resolution digital PD patterns for classification of defects in high voltage insulation systems.

With the PD Scan, Megger offers a lightweight, robust and portable PD scanner that can quickly inspect various type of equipment for partial discharge signals.
